Competing in the Ladders

War of Ninja currently features four different ladders for players to compete in:

  • The Points Ladder
  • The Streak Ladder
  • The Achievement Ladder
  • The Country Ladder

In order to compete in the Points and Streak ladders, you must first gain access to their Arenas. The Points ladder is in the Eastern Arena, located in Region 1. The Streak Ladder is in the Western Arena, located in Region 2. These arenas are located on the map, and can be unlocked through missions just like other villages.

The Points Ladder

In the Points Ladder you will battle worthy opponents in order to earn your place in the rankings. Winning will earn you points to rise in the ladder, while losing will do the opposite.

How far you have progressed in the ladder is shown by your level. You start at level 1. Earning points will get you to the next level. Each level more points are needed to progress. There is no maximum level, but the higher you get, the harder it will be to progress. The top 1000 players have an official rank in the ladder.

The match-up system is designed to match you with players of equal skill. This will keep your games challenging.

If you are part of a clan, you are automatically competing in the Clan Points Ladder. The clan points ladder works similarly to the Individual Points Ladder. By winning games you will earn points for your clan, and by losing games your clan will lose points. By earning points, a clan will gain levels similar to the Individual Points Ladder.

How much a player contributes to the clan's progress through the ladder depends on his level in the Individual Points Ladder. Higher ranked player will earn more points for the clan, but their losses will also have much more effect to the clan's rating.

Points Ladder Mechanics

The amount of points you gain or lose depends on the level difference and expected skill between you and your opponent. By beating an opponent with a much higher level you gain a large amount of points. Beating an opponent of a much lower level will grant you only a small amount of points. The points gained from a battle can range from 15 to 600.

You lose points when you lose a battle. Much like gaining points, this amount depends on the level difference between you and your opponent. Losing from a much higher level opponent will cost you very little points. Losing from a much lower leveled opponent will cost you a very high amount. Aside from your opponent, the points you lose in a battle also depends on your own level. During the first 25 levels, players will lose less points from losing a game. This is done to help the less skilled players also progress in the ladder. The points lost from a battle can range from 0 to 600.

The Streak Ladder

In the Streak Ladder, players will compete for the longest win streak. The rules are simple; the player with the most consecutive wins is highest in the ladder, but lose a single game, and you will drop back to the bottom.

The Streak Ladder is designed to be a very fast moving ladder. You will be able to climb to the top of the ladder in a relatively short time, but all your progress is undone by a single loss.

The match-up system in the Streak Ladder is based on the win streak you are currently on.

The Achievement Ladder

In the Achievement ladder, players are ranked according to the total amount of achievement points they have earned playing War of Ninja. You can earn achievement points by completing achievements.

Everyone participates in the Achievement Ladder. Even when you are not as focused on competitive play, you can earn your place in the Achievements Ladder.

The Country Ladder
