Create your Squad

Creating a good squad is the first step in beating your opponent. In order to help you create a good squad, each character has tips on how to use him or her on the character page. Also be sure to check out the forums, which has a section dedicated for discussing teams and strategies.

The starting squad of Jinsei, Yukigaaru and Jyouzu is a very formidable combination.

With the help of the Quick Select, you'll be able to quickly and easily select a squad before you start a battle. You can select a team on the fly by pressing the Change button, or select one of the squads you've created in the Squad Management.

You can create a squad in the Character Selection. Follow these steps to create a squad:

Step 1:
Either double click or drag a character from the Character Roster into the Character Select Boxes.

Step 2:
When a character is set in the box, an item box will appear on the bottom left corner of the character. Click on it to open the Item Selection.

Step 3:
Choose the item you want to attach to the character.

Step 4:
Once you have 3 characters selected and all characters have an item equipped, you can create your squad.

Once you've found a squad you like playing with, it would be a good choice to save that squad in your Squad List. This can be done in the Squad Management. You can get to the Squad Management through the Main Menu or by pressing the Manage button in the Quick Select.

Face your Opponent

When you have selected a Squad, simply press the Start button to start searching for an opponent. After the system has found a suitable opponent for you, you will enter the Versus Screen. The Versus Screen is where you first meet your opponent, and gives you a quick overview of you and your opponents team. At this point you are allowed to make one final modification to your selected team by swapping one of you characters.

Character Swapping

By pressing the Swap Character button, you will be able to make changes to a single character on your team. You can change this character's item, swap the character for another character, or both. Keep in mind that you can only make changes to a single character, this means you cannot change the item on character A and swap character B for a different character.

Swapping is great for adapting to an opponent's strategy, or maybe even trick your opponent and go for a completely different strategy.
