Skill Animation!
Posted by Yuudai Posted on Thursday, July 28, 2011 10:41 PMLadder Season Update: The exact time when season 1 ends and season 2 starts is on August 1, 12:00 noon GMT +0. All non-AI battles that are still in progress during this time will be cancelled.
For the past couple of weeks we’ve been working on a new visual feature for the War of Ninja’s battle screen, which should both make battles more visually appealing, and do a better job at explaining what is going on.
At the end of both your own and your opponents turn, you will now see a short animated sequence of each of the skills that are in the Skill Queue. The Skill Animation shows which skills had an effect to the game that turn, who performed them, and what the targets are. This should make it much easier for players to see what exactly happened in the previous turn.
Next to the practical use of this feature, Skill Animation will also make battles a lot more visually appealing. The skills within the animation are shown at a much higher resolution than ever seen before, so it will make you feel that much more awesome when you throw those heavy hitting skills at your opponent.
Let us know what you think about the new Skill Animation here.
Note: If you notice any bugs or glitches in this new visual feature, go to the bugs and glitches section on the forums, and create a topic with the [Animation] prefix in your topic name.
Have fun experiencing your favourite skills in a new way!
